INTERAÇÃO is a sustainable tourism agency created and run by the biologist Paulo Nogara, specialized in tours aroud the SACO DO MAMANGUÁ, PARATY BAY and JUATINGA PENINSULA.

We are an eco-tourism agency based in Paraty, south coast of Rio de Janeiro State, Brasil, specialized in promoting sustainable tours around the more isolated areas of the Atlantic Rain Forest. We offer a diverse portfolio of guided half-day, full day, multi day tours to suit your available time and interests. Each journey accents this unique environment in many ways.

Our interaction programs aim to instruct a higher knowledge about the ecosystems and the local traditions - like the wood handicraft work, the artisanal fishing techniques and the 'manioc flour' home factories. By planning and coordinating these activities and the logistics of your trip in partnership with the native, we promote sustainable, community based tourism, feeding the economic cycle in the isolated communities and sharing our passion for their native paradise.

The historic town of Paraty is the perfect base camp for kayaking and hiking trips due to the geography of its bay and surroundings mountains, like the Saco do Mamanguá fjord and the Juatinga Peninsula. Add to this the great historical, environmental and cultural importance, as the region is one of the most preserved sections of Atlantic Rainforest, where we still find the presence of the native inhabitants, the caiçara communities.
